The Ballarat Community Resource Centre (BCRC) was born from the need to provide local people with local information.   

A Community Needs Analysis, conducted by United Way Ballarat, identified several gaps in the provision of health information in the Ballarat region and this has subsequently developed into the online resource now known as the BCRC. 

The BCRC will be populated and managed by key agencies and organisations in Ballarat and will provide up to date information and advice regarding community legal assistance, multicultural issues, emergency and welfare assistsance and where to get help or advice on health and other issues in the Ballarat region.
